In 2011, the Texas Legislature created an Ombudsman Program. The Texas Department of Insurance Coastal Outreach and Assistance Services Team (COAST) provides information and educational programs that assist policyholders with the TWIA claims process. COAST can help you:
- Learn about your rights as a TWIA policyholder
- Learn about the TWIA claims process
- Know what to do if TWIA denies your claim
- Resolve a concern about a TWIA claim
